Just a little housekeeping...

Just a quick announcement that come January 2011, I will begin archiving client galleries to free up some space. I've been slacking a lot of this and it's becoming a necessary evil that I must take care of unfortunately.

For any of my clients who had a *2009* session, please note that all these sessions will be removed and archived from the galleries so it will no longer be available to purchase prints or products from online. You will have until the end of January 2011, if you wish to make any purchases on past sessions.

Going forward, every month I will be archiving sessions from the year before, for example, if you had a session in January of 2010, this will be archived by the end of the month in January 2011 as well.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thank you!

How about a little post-holiday pampering?

One of my very best friends is the Spa Manager at the new Blue Sapphire Spa at Danford's in Port Jefferson, NY. When she asked me to come and take photos of the spa, I was a little nervous, I've never done any type of property photography, so I battled with how I was going to handle photographing the location. In the end, I decided I would photograph it how I saw it, and try to capture the ambiance and feel of the spa, and not concern myself too much with trying to be the real estate photographer that I'm not.

Upon first glance, the Blue Sapphire is nestled in the quaint town of Port Jeff, it has the look and feel more so of a bed and breakfast than a spa. It's decor is opulent, and I love that it's cozy and richly designed, unlike many of the larger spas today.

Here are some of my favorites from the shoot, and I'm ready for some post-holiday pampering! Enjoy!

After many years of working in retail at MAC Cosmetics, I can appreciate a schematized and neat display, because it never stays that way!

Holiday Season is upon us!

What better way to kick off my holiday season than a five family, ten children group session! Yup, we had to break out the heavy artillery. I even wore my elf shoes and hat. Sorry, no photos of that. :P

Making the world a little sweeter...

So, I photographed my first celebrity this week! Yes, indeed, I am very excited for New York's own Corina Elgart, Founder and Pastry Chef of taste., a specialty cake shop located in Syosset. Corina was chosen out of thousands of applicants for TLC's new Cake Boss spinoff, The Next Great Baker, which will air December 6th. Be sure to tune in and set your DVR!

So here she is, making the world a little sweeter, one cake at a time::

She can pay me in cupcakes, no problem! Yum!

Now I understand why some people say that my lens can be intimidating! Nothing like having a Big Bertha steel rolling pin in your face! ;)

Red Velvet anyone?
